Senior Smart Home Technician

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000 -£35,000 per year

We’re looking for a new senior smart home technician, someone with experience to form a team with a junior and report to our installation manager.

The person we’re looking for will be involved with all aspects of an installation – cable testing, 2nd fix, installation, commissioning and maintenance – and with a variety of systems including Unifi, Control4, Lutron, Home Cinema, Sonos and many others. We like to keep things simple, but we do things properly: we want someone who cares about a high standard of finish, who thinks about usability and the end user. Most of our work is in residential projects around London.

Whilst the role is working under our installation manager, the right person will need to be confident working alone and able to manage the day’s work on site. You must be personable and have the ability to engage with clients and contractors on site and to fit in well with the small existing team (who have a love of cars and cheeseburgers). You’ll need to solve problems on your own, but also to know when you’re stuck and ask for help. In the future there is scope to develop – could be with design work, client meetings, social media….we’ll see where your skills lead you.

You’ll have a company van so need a full driving licence and to live a comfortable travelling distance from our office/showroom which is in London N7.

Smart Home Technician

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £20,000 -£27,000 per year

We’re looking for a new smart home technician, someone to form a team with a more experienced senior technician, and report to our installation manager.

You’ll be working in a team with an experienced technician, so whilst some experience in our industry is preferable, it isn’t essential so long as you have the right transferable skills. What’s important is the things you can’t be taught: you must be personable and have the ability to engage with clients and contractors on site and to fit in well with the small existing team. You’ll need to have a good work ethic, to ask how you can help, and learn from your colleagues. Do that and in the future there is scope to develop into a senior technician….we’ll see where your skills lead you.

You will need a full driving licence and to live a comfortable travelling distance from our office/showroom which is in London N7.
